Satan Versus our Children!
Part 1 of several articles about who is influencing our attitudes in bringing up our children.
Yahweh set the example for family life. He was extremely close to his Son and so his Son was
extremely close to Him and constantly strove to be so. Even though Yahusha left his Father to
come to earth to do the work of saving the world he remained in constant contact with his
Father through prayer, meditation and putting into practise what his Father told him.

Mat 14:23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain
apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.
Mat 26:39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father,
if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

Joh 12:49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a
commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
Joh 12:50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak
therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
Luk 2:49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be
about my Father's business?

Joh 8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do
always those things that please him.
Joh 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just;
because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
Satan didn't have a family as such. He convinced a third of the angels to follow him in rebellion
against Yahweh, but they weren't his children.
They weren't Yahweh's begotten children either; but he did create them with the abilities to
do good things, as an involved and caring creator would. Satan was the authority figure over
these fallen angels, in much the same way as a school teacher is over someone else's children.
Neither Satan nor the teacher is the father/parent of those in their care, so they cannot
develop a close, constant, caring relationship.
While I'm not suggesting that teachers are satanic, they none the less are following Satan's
example or system which is always opposed to Yahweh's and leads to destruction. Satan
broadcasts attitudes through the air to those who choose to pick up on them.
Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to
the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
The prince of the power of the air is Satan.
The human family was created on the model of the Spiritual family to become part of the
Spiritual family eventually.
2Co 6:18 "And I will be a Father to you, and you will be sons" and daughters to Me, says
Yahweh Almighty. 2 Sam. 7:14; Isa. 43:6
Children need a developing relationship with both earthly parents all through growing up; but
Satan's influence is there all the time. Just as Yahusha had to fast and pray often and for long
periods to stay close to his Father, so earthly families must work to keep the family together,
recognising that divisions are always possible. We need to be constanly aware and recognize
where we are letting our thoughts come from. Satan is at war with our children. He sees them
as a threat to his plans as they will eventually replace him and his cohorts. He also gets at us,
through our children. We need to be constantly protecting our children from the world.
2Co 6:17 Because of this, "come out from among them" "and be separated," says Yahweh, "and do
not touch the unclean thing," and I will receive you. Isa. 52:11
Yahusha went back to his Father after his work on earth. But although he was on Earth he was
very close to his Father throughout his time here, through prayer and obedience. Children at
school from age five grow apart from their parents. Little by little,they eventually go their
own way. Children should develop their own personalities and eventually find their own way in
the world; but right now it's the world (Satan's system) that determines; how and when this
independence happens.
1. Children were never meant to spend as much time in the company of their peers as they do
now.
Psa 144:11 Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh
vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood:
Psa 144:12 That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be
as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace:
Pro 22:15 Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it
far from him.
Ecc 11:9 Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy
youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that
for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.
Ecc 11:10 Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for
childhood and youth are vanity.
2. Parents were never meant to be separated from children, by work commitments as they are now.
Deu 6:6 And these Words which I am commanding you today shall be on your heart.
Deu 6:7 And you shall teach them to your sons, and shall speak of them as you sit in your
house,and as you walk in the way, and as you are lying down, and as you are rising up.
3.Technology is not a substitute for parenting. It's not a good substitute teacher either.
Pro 29:15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother
to shame.
4. In New Zealand parents are expecting schools to take on more and more parenting
responsibilities than ever before.
Isa 3:12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people,
they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
What happened to the example of staying close to one's Father that Yahshua gave us?
